Proteges are elite melee units — intricately folded warriors with superior combat stats. They take longer to produce and cost more resources, but a squad of Proteges can turn the tide of battle.

Fold Ability
- Blade Refold — The Protege unfolds and refolds its arms into twin blades, increasing damage by 40% for 6 seconds. Cooldown: 30s.
Strategy
Proteges are your main damage dealers in the mid and late game. They pair well with Patchers for healing support and Pikemen for a balanced front line. Use the Blade Refold ability at the start of engagements for maximum burst damage. Proteges are vulnerable to Pelter fire, so close the distance quickly.
